Total Construction Services is committed to giving back to our community. We’ve been part of this community for the past 31 years, and as a way to show our appreciation to the community, we’re looking for ways to give back.

One way we’re giving back is by volunteering services to help some of our local shelters.

Another initiative we feel strongly about is our youth sponsorship program.  Every Spring we give out 5 – $500 sponsorships to help cover some of the costs of local youth activities.

Our 2018 Youth Sponsorships

Total Construction has sponsored five local youth with $500 sponsorships in their activity of choice. The activities range from camps and sports activities to vocal lessons. Find out more about our winners below.

Heart Ministry Center Mentoring Program

The Heart Ministry Center is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide food, clothing, healthcare and a way forward to people severely affected by poverty in the Omaha area. Their main motto is Dignity for All. They provide a food pantry, a dental and medical clinic, and fresh start job training among other programs and services. The Heart Ministry Center Mentoring Program takes youth from families deeply affected by poverty and gives them mentors, life skills, and opportunities to go places that other children their age would go (Vala’s Pumpkin Patch, the Durham Museum, the Farmer’s Market, and more).

The kids came to Total Construction in January of 2017 to learn basic carpentry skills. They ended up building new, free-standing clothing donation dropbox with the help of the team at Total Construction. The box is for donations to the Heart Ministry Center clothing pantry. The kids had great pride in being involved in the construction of the donation box because they were able to give back to their community.

Sacred Heart Parish Festival

Every year Sacred Heart Church holds a parish festival. Sacred Heart Catholic Church is one of Omaha’s oldest churches, built in 1902, and is an official landmark of Omaha. The church holds an annual parish festival every June, and in 2018 Total Construction was a sponsor and played a great part in the setup and running of the festival.

Total Construction donated trailers and manpower to set up fences, stages, and tables that were used at the event attended by more than 500 people. Total workers also stayed the entire event and waited until after the event to help with the takedown.
